American Women Artists
Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild:
Being creative has always been part of my life and work, but I never took the time to actually paint until I retired from teaching in 2004. I became a lover of water color after seeing an original Monet while I was in London. After that, I was hooked! I was inspired to try the watercolor medium because I love its many challenging qualities - especially the transparency. I am continually exploring the variations of watercolor and its techniques. Having lived in the desert community of Tucson and along the coast of Oregon, I am challenged with two totally different styles and color pallets. I seek to express the passion and beauty that I feel in both places. I am a member of American Women Artists, and the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild..
